Earring explosion. Love the new scales they look amazing. Once again very fast turnaround, but I love when I have an idea that I can follow all the way to the end. #chainmaille #earrings #scalemaille #handmade

Successful day of work. Length of aluminum tie done in record time; done in two sittings. #chainmaille #handmade #aluminum #ties
I have been working very hard on chainmaille ties, both harry potter themed ones and plain aluminum ties. I have decided that instead of making the whole ties and moving on to the next ones I have just been working on the length and will leave the knots and neck chains till a later date. So far I have Slytherin fully completed, the length of Ravenclaw is fully completed, Hufflepuff is mostly completed except I am waiting for my supplier to restock some of the rings I ran out of. I also am nearly done the length of the aluminum tie which is very refreshing as it takes much less time to complete than the Harry Potter ties.
The goal is to have all the ties ready in time for Fan Expo in September. Fingers crossed.

I have noticed that I love to work on my chainmaille when I have Netflix playing on the computer in front of me. It has allowed me to be very productive and every once and a while stop working to watch Grace and Frankie or Mission Impossible, or whatever else I have queued up.
On Mondays I tend to work with podcasts on in the background, both have proven to be very good background noise and I am grateful for the ability to work on what I love while listening to something that makes me happy.
All in all feeling blessed and in love with all the pieces I keep making.
